Morning - An early departure after a light breakfast with morning tea in Kampala.
Lunch - at the AidChild Cafe right on the Equator
Afternoon - Settle into the accommodation located at the Park Headquarters or at Mihingo Lodge. Once the dust has settled it'll be time to raise a little with an introductory game drive. Ride with; zebras, topi, kob, waterbuck, eland, etc. We have found that our ATVs hardly disturb these animals if ridden with a sensible throttle. While in the park we are required to only use the existing tracks. Over 300 species of birds have been recorded in the park area. You will be pleased to know that there are no elephant or lion though, making it possible to do this unique type of game viewing safari in safety.
Evening - sundowners and dinner at the Lakeside Restaurant. Hippos come out at this time (they are only active at night and can get sunburnt if out of the water during the day). 'Jennifer' likes munching on the grass within a few feet of the restaurant and there are always warthogs and monkeys nearby.

Day 8: WILDRIDE GAME VIEWING Safari - Lake Mburo National Park - All meals at the Lakeside Restaurant.
Morning - game viewing ride to the west of the lake and into the tropical forest trail. Also includes a stop-off at the fishing village.
Afternoon - game viewing ride to east of the park - ride to the top of Kazuma hill for spectacular views across the rolling savannah.

Day 9: WILDRIDE GAME VIEWING Safari - Lake Mburo National Park - Breakfast at the Lakeside Restaurant
Morning - game viewing ride to the north of the park then out of the park boundaries to visit Mihingo Lodge which adjoins.
Lunch - at Mihingo Lodge or a picnic lunch to be had at one of the many scenic stops en-route.
Afternoon - the going gets tough. We ride east towards Lake Kachera and turn south following the twists and turns of the lake shore. This will be through bush and swamps often over areas with no paths - we use a compass for navigation. Although outside the park, there are many opportunities for more game viewing. Eventually we start heading west to enter the park in the south-east corner. The late afternoon ride takes us back over the open, rolling savannah to the lake and park headquarters. Evening meal at the Lakeside Restaurant.

Day 10: WILDRIDE GAME VIEWING Safari - Lake Mburo National Park and return to Kampala / Entebbe Airport

Morning - Breakfast by the lake and a final game viewing ride following the Eland Track back to the main gate. A chance to see the animals you may have missed on previous rides.
Afternoon - Mini bus back to Kampala, stopping for lunch in Masaka Township. Drop-off at a hotel of your choice (we can advise) in Kampala or back to Entebbe airport. There is lots of good accommodation also available at Entebbe if required.
