Twilight
Safari
This
trip only runs in the late afternoon. A great way to get to
meet with some of the local residents and sample some Ugandan cuisine.
We follow a similar route to the EXPLORER SAFARI, starting on the practice
circuits at about 5:00pm. This gets you out along the riverbanks for
what is generally a beautiful sunset with the colours being enhanced
by the low-level rays. There’s nothing quite like the green in
a backlit banana palm leaf.

| The
trip continues through some of the more interesting terrain and
back through the village, coming to your host’s compound, on the edge
of darkness.
Your meal composed
of selection of dishes, many types of vegetable and some fish, chicken
or meat dishes, with fresh juices or bottled mineral water to drink. The
time spent is largely user driven – you decide how long you want
to spend with the family before continuing.

The
last part of the ride is in the dark. Our quads are fitted with
lights and it is an interesting ride coming back through the villages and
farms with the odd paraffin lantern or fireplace lighting up each little
settlement. This adds another special element to your safari.
Normal return
time is about 8:30pm, so all up trip time is 3 ½ hours.
Note
that the guide carries bottled mineral water (supplied by us) for you.
We highly recommend that you take a camera, as you will be visiting some
parts of Africa that most visitors never get to see. Protective clothing;
overalls, helmet, goggles and boots are available for you. We do request
that your legs are covered, that you wear closed footwear (eg. sneakers)
and that you protect that most valuable appendage, your head, with a helmet.
