TRAILBLAZER
ATV Safari
1.
Downstream following routes similar to the OVERLANDER SAFARI
but then even further off the beaten track and into the hinterland of
the Nile River valley. Some very interesting sections – should
you desire – and some very photogenic scenery. You can get to
meet people in isolated rural communities and your driving skills will
definitely be sharpened by this experience. Bring a set of bathers if
you want to have a swim along the way.

2.
Alternatively, if you have already been
this way and want to try something different, we will take you upstream
a couple of kilometres and then head away from the river into the hills
set back from the headwaters of the Nile. Lots of interesting and challenging
country to get through and some very fun places such as a large ‘skid
pan’ made up of small volcanic rocks. Chuck it sideways and see
how many ‘donuts’ you can lay. Yeee-haaa! Weaving and winding
north and then west by any one of the many different options (we try to
make each of these trips different) from tiny footpath to murram road,
from swamp to hills – back to Buj. Your guide will endeavour to
buy some fruit or chapatti en-route, to keep you going. Along the way
back you will stop for a cool soda (we have found a man with a fridge)
in one of the trading centres. Then back on the gas and over some quicker
tracks. Eventually you will end up back at our site where you will find
some soap & water & towels provided. |

|
| A
free training session is included before the trip starts so you
need to allow about 4 and ½ hours to complete and you may wish to
stay for a complimentary Ugandan tea, coffee or a cold drink when you get
back, in our CAFÉ. Note that the guide carries bottled mineral water
(supplied by us) for you. We highly recommend that you take a camera, as
you will be visiting some parts of Africa that most visitors never get to
see. Protective clothing; overalls, helmet, goggles and boots are available
for you. We do request that your legs are covered, that you wear closed
footwear (eg. sneakers) and that you protect that most valuable appendage,
your head, with a helmet. |
