FULL DAY ATV SAFARIS

We give you the option of a really big day. Recommended start time is about 9.00am and finish at 6pm. We will tailor the day to suit your requirements or time constraints.

The first section will normally be the same as our half day (4 hour Trailblazer) and then back to our base at Bujagali Falls. The Trailblazer Safari follows the River Nile downstream from Bujagali Falls and passes many of the rapids that are rafted including Total Gunga and Big Brother/Silverback. We follow narrow tracks that take you through the farms, villages and forest beside the Nile. Some very interesting sections – should you desire – and some very photogenic scenery. You can get to meet people in isolated rural communities. You will get time to develop or refine your skills with our machines.

Lunch at Eden Rock Restaurant is inclusive and there’s a chance to catch your breath and freshen up before the afternoon section. Then we head upstream a little way and out off the beaten track into bits of Uganda that very few non-locals will ever see. This section really is put together by the guide according to the weather conditions, seasonal conditions and your abilities or inclination.

Heading away from the river into the hills set back from the headwaters of the Nile, lots of interesting and challenging country to get through and some very fun places such as a large ‘skid pan’ made up of small volcanic rocks. Chuck it sideways and see how many ‘donuts’ you can lay. Yeee-haaa! Weaving and winding north and then west by any one of the many different options (we try to make each of these trips different) from tiny footpath to murram road, from swamp to hills – back to Bujagali.Your guide will endeavour to buy you some fruit or chapatti, as a snack to keep you going. Along the way back you will stop for a cool soda (we have found a man with a fridge) in one of the trading centres. Then back on the gas and over some quicker tracks. Eventually you will end up back at our site where you will find some soap & water & towels provided.

A free training session is included before the trip starts. After the trip you can relax at DeNile Cafe with a complimentary tea, coffee, cold fruit juice, beer or soda. Note that the guide carries bottled mineral water (supplied by us) for you. We highly recommend that you take a camera as you will be visiting some parts of Africa that most visitors never get to see. Protective clothing; overalls, helmet, goggles and boots are available for you. We do request that your legs are covered, that you wear closed footwear (eg. sneakers) and that you protect that most valuable appendage, your head, with a helmet.
